ABOUT ETHAN KIM
Ethan Kim is a Junior at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill studying Communications with a minor in Entrepreneurship. Since he was just a kid, Ethan has always been a people oriented person and thrives off of social interactions. Being a third generation Korean-American, Ethan has been given the freedom to explore his personal passions throughout his life. From a career in the music industry, to working on short films in his free time, Ethan believes in always embracing creativity.
By combining his people oriented personality with his creative interests, Ethan has thrived at Carolina and wishes to further his experiences in the 2022-2023 school year. Having already accepted an internship position for the 2023 Summer, Ethan plans to use this school year to truly focus on his creative passions.

Work Experience

K-Town | Ghost Writer
Ethan has worked in the music industry as a writer both for record labels as well a freelancer. In the Summer going into his Sophomore year at Carolina, Ethan worked as a full time ghost writer out of K-Town in Los Angeles, CA. While working for the labels 88rising and Red Kloud Society, Ethan wrote eight songs a week and gained invaluable experience in the music industry

Vertigo | Marketing Intern
Ethan had the privilege to work directly under Dan Yen, the CEO of Vertigo. Vertigo, a startup company, is a music app that focuses on allowing users to customize their listening experience. As a marketing intern, Ethan was responsible for curating content, contests, and live chats. By working under the CEO, Ethan gained valuable experience on how the startup world works.
LEE Jeans | Brand Marketing Intern
This past Summer (2022), Ethan worked as a Brand Marketing Intern for LEE Jeans. He was responsible for selecting and ordering product for media, influencers, content creators, VIP, celebrities, and artists; ensured product ordered aligned with Direct to Consumer (DTC) in regard to availability and key product initiatives. In addition, he assisted senior marketing managers in coordination and execution of marketing initiatives such as the music festival Bonnaroo.
